We thought it wouldn’t be fair at all to launch a new competition and not tell you Hay-Wirers. (We’re having a break for half term next week, as well as it not being Hay-Wire week.) So here’s the shortest Hay-Wire you’ll get for a Hay-While.
Are you a hero or villain ... or perhaps both! What science and engineering will you use to fight your enemies? What outfit will you wear?
A section will be set-up on the website with all the competition details, plus some science and superhero facts to get your ideas flowing. Visit Engineering Super Powers to see some school students' characters to get the idea.
Mull it over or get cracking, either way we’ll give you more details in the next Hay-Wire, which will be 7th November.
Brought to you by Dr Elsa AKA Miz Ingenuity.
2.Up for Grabs – Blood, Bones and Body Bits Kit.
We thought we’d mark Halloween in some
Hay-Way, so here it is; a gruesome collection of six revolting and gory experiments for you to win. All you have to do is email Hay-wire.Clubhouse@nesta.org.uk with your name and postal address. If we pull your name out of the hat on Tuesday next week, we’ll send you the kit in time for Halloween.
3.Eyeball Winners – from last week
Four winners, eyeballs flying at’cha really soon (in the post, don’t worry). Here’s lookin’ at you kid…Michael Hannaford of Buckinghamshire, Scott Onions of Warringtom, Connor Davis of Crowbridge and Bradley Masters of Kent. Well done!
